Take a look also at the quality of the driving schools and how people acquire driving license. Why issue a driving license to someone who failed the theoretical part of the course. We have a lot of people driving across the country who do not know what the road signs stands for. Also set up an institution to check the quality of the vehicles on our roads. Drivers should provide evidence every year indicating that they have undergone the compulsory quality check up of their vehicle before driving on the road. The police should have the right to conduct alcohol tests on drivers at any time and anywhere. My only fear is can we trust the Ghana Police to do this job diligently?

No, we can’t trust Ghana Police to be very honest in this and deliver deligently. Don’t behave like you don’t know the caliber of the Police Officers we have in Ghana. I have known them since the time when S.S Omane of Kibi was the IGP at the time of Kutu Acheampong.. I personally know Dorcas to be very knowledgeable and hardworking but she can’t trust the Ghana Police. They shall let her down.

Give passengers a method to report unsafe drivers.

Start arresting cops for allowing unsafe drivers to pass. Charge them with dereliction and reckless endangerment. JAIL THEM.

Start arresting cops for allowing unsafe drivers to pass. Charge them with dereliction and reckless endangerment. JAIL THEM.

Train DLVA Road Safety workers to fail unsafe cars. Their job includes protecting us from cars with no taillights. Those cars should be given a 7-day fix-it ticket or removed from the roads, confiscated if necessary.

Not necessary legal, but let me beat keke drivers slowing traffic on the international road. They do not belong but drive as if they have the legal right to make roads unsafe. They are stubborn.
