Politics makes them see things in black and white, and unfortunately, we have not had any honest people who would write down what really happened during his regime. I will never defend the loss of life of innocent people. We are losing an important part of our history as we have done since independence. Do you understand why we keep repeating our mistakes? It is because we have lost our sense of the past resulting in not knowing how to handle today’s challenges. Tomorrow may be worse if we keep the same attitude. Think carefully and put your country first.

  Koinange got his timelines messed up. Rawlings the military despot was far different from Rawlings the democratic leader. It turned out that all the gutter cleaning was a facade. "It starts with you"? And ends where? No good leader has to do the last man's job. It starts with the good leader leading well, and everybody down the line holding their end of the load. We saw through Rawlings' smokescreen, so Jeff, let them all be interred with his bones. Ghanaians have learned their lesson, and it wasn't from foreigners like you who only saw one side of the sun.
