  The struggle for Independence for Ghana had started long before Nkrumah joined the fighters. It is only the ignorant and stupid ones who will believe and accept that NKRUMAH ALONE FOUGHT FOR THE INDEPENDENCE OF GHANA. At best, Nkrumah will be seen as a DICTATOR and a murderer who imprisoned his benefactors at Nsawam prison and had them tortured to death. I say so because he allowed JB Danquah and Arko Adjei who were his benefactors to die in prison and be buried at the Prison Cemetery. JB Danquah, his Political Opponent had gone blind in Prison but he allowed him to remain and die in Prison. Only the wicked and evil one can do that.
  Of all leaders of Ghana, only Rawlings was more wicked and evil than Nkrumah. It served him right that he died lonely in Guinea where even his closest family members had abandoned him. Where was Fathia when Nkrumah was slowly dying in misery?

The proof is they never said 'No independence'. So stop the false hype. They also wanted independence, but were not oblivious to the fact that it will take time to develop the human resources required to handle our own affairs. The Nkrumaist on the other hand believed "The black man is capable of handling his own affairs". Both sides had solid justification irrespective of which one stand favors you. The question is 2025 is what have we done since independence for ourselves? Until the freeSHS what percentage of our population had attained SHS education? What is the overall literacy in Ghana now? What technologies have we advanced? Why do we keep borrowing? Why do simple elections turn to hooliganism? How advanced are we compared to countries like South Africa whose independence delayed and took a longer transition. Those are the analyses you should be making rather than calling someone a traitor because he had a different opinion. What JB did isn't different from our fourth republic politics where some people opposed NHIS, freeSHS, VAT, HIPC etc, which all have benefits. No matter how evil you want to portray the man, there's was justification for Nkrumah holding him in detention without trial till death. If we apply wisdom, we can't arrive at a conclusion other than the fact that Nkrumah didn't have enough evidence to legally prosecute JB Danqua. He acted based on his feelings of insecurity, simply put.

  I wouldn't be surprised if you've been bribed by certain political class to continuously tarnish the image of J.B. Danquah.
  Nkrumah rushing Ghana into attaining independence did never benefit the country. After being given such huge sums of money to be used to develop the country, he still went to borrow because of mismanagement (the country lacked human resources to manage the economy and that's exactly what J.B. Danquah was preaching).
  If Nkrumah had people who were so competent at the time, why did he continuously go to J.B. Danquah (while in prison) for ideas on how to run the country? Doesn't that biased Anokye know anything about this? That wicked and dictatorial Nkrumah, the least said about him, the better!!!

  Ghana College, Tamale, Government secondary school, Tamale, Bawku, Yendi, Lawra, Wa, Nalerigu Damongo secondary schools etc.. You are right Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary leader. He did all this in less than 9years.
  What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.

  Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioneer. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets.   What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.

  Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioneer. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets.   Ghana became a republic in July 1960. The queen was the head of State just like Canada, Australia and some ex-British colonies in the West Indies today. The main opposition party the UP, opposed everything that Nkrumah's government wanted to do. This was at the time of the Cold war, when the opposition saw that Nkrumah had plans to turn the Ghana into a Socialist state.
  The plebiscite to move or not become a Republic was again won by the CPP. Eventually Ghana became a republic and Nkrumah's brand of Socialialism(Nkrumaism) and a new constitution was came into force. JB Dankwah opposed Nkrumah even more untill he was put in detention. The United Party simply hated Kwame Nkrumah and everything he stood for. JB Dankwah wanted independence, but did not want Nkrumah to lead Ghana, therefore no cognivance was taken to support Kwame Nkrumah, in any action to make the young country better.

  A four year Teacher scholar must intensify hard to

  were mostly offered in art courses. Teacher colleges
  in Nkrumah’d time were substandard,which I cannot
  say anything of toady’s standard. Science education
  and knowledge in science are moving the world
  today. Ghana’s science were only theoretical ,

  Pl it was interesting. Dr Danquah opposed Ghana becoming a Republic but he contested to become President on the ticket of the United Party and he was defeated by Dr Nkrumah of the CPP

Our President became the Commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces. Our President gave assent to all our laws. Our President opened Parliament. Our President appointed High Commissioners and Ambassadors. Our President appointed the Governor of Bank of Ghana. Our President appointed the Chief Justice and superior Court Judges. Indeed we truly became independent when we became a Republic Please Efo Koku before we became a Republic the British were still around in the person of the Governor General approving of every thing the Prime Minister did. And when we became a Republic, we sent the British away for ever and our President became in charge of our affairs

Thereafter, Dr Nkrumah appointed him Minister of Communications and later on Minister of Local Government and Justice, Minister of Justice and then Speaker of Parliament. Please Kwesi Amoako Atta was another son of Nana Ofori Atta whom Dr Nkrumah appointed as Minister of Finance in 1964.Before then Dr Nkrumah appointed Kwesi Amoako Atta as the first Ghanaian Deputy Governor of Bank of Ghana in 1960 and then in 1964, Dr Nkrumah appointed Kwesi Amoako Atta as the Minister of Finance
