  It is extremely foolish to refuse to listen to or take advice from others. True a lot of advice is toxic and that is why whom we take advice from is soooo important.

  It is extremely foolish to refuse to listen to or take advice from others. True a lot of advice is toxic and that is why whom we take advice from is soooo important.
  Oler people ,especially those who have trodden a similar path to us and have learned from painful mistakes are often in a position to give advice. Pay close attention especially to the advice of such older wiser people whose lives are marked by INTEGRITY, HONESTY, HARDWORK AND LOVE FOR OTHERS (WHO ARE TRULY GOD-FEARING) . I remember many many years ago wanting to visit my home town to see my old folk. It was just the beginning of the rainy season with the high risk of FLASH FLOODS. An older relative who was a truck driver who plied the route between our home town and Kumasi strongly advised taking a route different to the one I had in mind. The route he suggested was longer and involved going through some unpaved roads. I ignored his advice.To cut a long story short I took the more "direct route" and nearly got trapped by a flash flood. This Flash flood resulted in several villages being swept away with the loss of human life and livestock.
  SOMETIMES IT PAYS TO LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCE.
