  I don't have a problem with his appointment because if anyone can scout out talent or help to further develop future Ghanaian talent...then this man is at least worth a shot. I'm willing to give it a chance.

  This appointment is very problematic! Why will a foreign national who doesn't understand our football culture be the one to scout for talents for us in Ghana? Would the English, Spanish, Brazilian or Argentines accept such an appointment? We must open our eyes wide oh! So now a foreigner will be the one to tell us which talents must be considered for our national teams? We are only playing into the hands of the Europeans. Their standard of early player development will overshadow the Ghanaian style of skillful handling of the ball, strength and aggression, dictating the pace of the game, etc. I believe this is an intelligence gathering project to eventually change our style of play to suit the European style and thereby create an avenue for young Ghanaian talents to be sent to Europe. Our National teams will sink further in results and our players will feel inferior to the European players. It's another form of neo-colonization nicely framed as a talent scouting agenda. We should be bold and recommend a Ghanaian coach of high repute to FIFA for this role. Laryea Kingston, Michael Essien, Derrick Boateng, etc must rather be considered for this role. GFA, wake up!
