The sensible thing is what the Mahama government spearheaded by Dr. Akandoh is doing is getting both local and foreign job opportunities for them. What do you expect? Just let kids stay home because there are no job opportunities after graduation? They need to continue training them until a lasting solution is found. Loans will still be provided for all who can’t afford to pay regardless of the available jobs to absorb them. Easy to deal with trained minds than untrained minds in a developing country like ours. With the pace at which the Mahama government is moving, lasting solutions are in sight sooner than and backwater corrupt, state capturing, NPP THUGS, clueless of how to manage a nation and state assets.

Over the last decade and particularly since after the Covid-19 Pandemic Western countries ,particularly those in Europe have become far more challenging destinations for Ghanaians and other African to relocate to for work. It used to be that your biggest challenge when going abroad was FINDING WORK. Nowadays your biggest challenge when you move to these countries is BEING ABLE TO COPE WITH THE COST OF LIVING once you find work. In almost all of these countries wages have not kept up with the cost of living meaning that standard living expenses such as ACCOMODATION,ENERGY (ELECTRICITY,GAS ETC),TRANSPORT AND FOOD are increasingly out of the reach of the average working person especially those living in the cities and larger towns (which is where most of the jobs that attract immigrants, including Ghanaians are found , such as within the Healthcare Educational Social Services ,Hospitality sector and Transport sectors)
Cost of living is particularly bad during the cold months of the year when the cost of heating homes soars.
THIS IS WHY GHANAIANS WHO WANT TO MOVE ABROAD TO "GREENER PASTURES" NEED TO DO THEIR RESEARCH THOROUGHLY AND VERY CAREFULLY AND TALK TO PEOPLE ALREADY LIVING AND WORKING ABROAD FOR AT LEAST 10 YEARS. Students are not best placed to give excellent advice for obvious reasons.
PLEASE ,PLEASE LOOK BEFORE YOU JUMP BECAUSE YOU COULD BE JUMPING FROM FRYING PAN INTO FIRE. The economic situation in these "Greener Pastures" have been steadily deteriorating and one of the consequences of this has been growing hostility towards foreigners ,especially towards people of colour, including Africans.

I'm afraid the situation is going to get worse, judging from the observation that thousands of 2021 graduating nurses are still unemployed. It's discouraging indeed!

Perhaps, these training institutions shoyld be doing admissions every 2 gears if we want to clear theae backlog of qualified professionals sitting at home. I also think that the training of these health personnels shouldn't receive any sponsorship from the gov't. These instutions should all be affiliated to universities and not manage by the MOH, so that the gov't is not responsible for having to offer them appointments after completion.

Freedom of speech is allowing people to express themselves without consequences but it is clearly creating the wrong impression that people are insulting each other and creating disharmony in the country. This shows that people need to respect each other. This is what democracy is about. The unemployment in the country has been a problem since time immemorial. The economy has been neglected and we fail to recognise that unless we avoid blaming others for our problems and failures we will not improve the economy and as such the country will not develop.Nobody is perfect and so we should listen to criticism as a good feedback to create an atmosphere of of hope and optimism. I read in the Ghanaweb that the country will finance drone production in Ukraine.In whose interest will this benefit? The country has a problem which needs a solution and yet we are thinking of financing the production of drones in a country which is not even in Africa. I think all the citizens of Ghana must oppose this idea and we should use democracy whichwe claim to practice and privatise some areas to create jobs and stop all these internal conflicts and shameful politics.

Waaa look at this foolishness. Financial clearance is the issue. When the country put people in SOE’s and pay all the state money to them. Where will there be money to employ people to take care of their health. Go NIB. bank of Ghana, GCB. Cocobaord, Ghana gas, npa, gnpc, epa, goil, office of the president and the like and see the fat fat salaries these guys are taking. People in Ghana are taking from 60, 000 to as high as 130,000. Doing works that AI can do in today’s world. Why can’t they rational the pay so they more health workers and teachers can be employed and also build more health facilities. Or why can’t we encourage the hybrid system being practiced elsewhere. Only thinking can solve the black man’s problem.. nothing more or less
