Folks, you better take good care of yourselves in terms of your intake and pray against any form of terminal ailment to avoid a catastrophic treatment from these guys. Since Kennedy took office, the USA that had not experienced a measles outbreak for over 30 yrs is now experiencing measles outbreaks (with deaths of children). This is because of bad policies.

If you juxtapose the situation in Ghana The health minister , hon. Akambah, has been making mistakes, starting with his handling of the situation at Tamale yeaching hospital, the nurses and midwife strike, and his recent statement on experienced nirses and physician assistants been sent to medical school to become doctors. The guy clearly does not understand health systems administration.

Finally, there are some sectors of government that requires some knowledge of the sector operation for any appointee to that sector. Hence, l will not recommend a medical doctor without finance background to be a minister of finance or justice minister.

Physicians can then be sanctioned when they don't do the obvious in cases like this. It cost 300 Ghs to run pelvic scan and additional 200 Ghs for PSA test, how many people can afford this fees before even the actual diagnosis and treatment on top? So people are skipping, testing should be cheaper so that people can go for routine testing easily. Government has been quite about this all the time. It is too expensive to run laboratory test in Ghana and people are skipping it. It cost Ghs1000 to run an ECG test in Ghana. How many people can afford this? If the laboratory tests are something the government should look at and subsidise with incentives for labs to enable them price their tests reasonably it will save a lot of premature deaths.

Hospitals in Ghana MUST stop giving drip to patients, they are killing so many people in Ghana with such treatment because some of them don't have the necessary machines to check the fluid and blood balance in the body.
