A clerk at NADMO could have been enough.There are hardworking teeming qualified young persons who worked for 8years to bring the party back to power, I think most of them should be considered more than some latter day saints. I personally do not trust politicians in general. They are always fair weather friends and will swing depending on what favors them but not necessarily what is good for Ghana or the political party they profess to belong to. While I can understand the strategic considerations that might explain her appointment, especially towards the latter part of 2024, given her vocal criticisms of the NPP and even her own party's flagbearer. I’m genuinely struggling to come to terms with why capable, loyal, and competent members of the NDC have not even been considered for even peripheral roles, while someone with little to no demonstrated allegiance to our cause is handed such a high-profile position at the presidency.

Let no one attempt to dismiss these concerns with the simplistic excuse that “she’s also Ghanaian.” We all witnessed how, during their 8 years in power, the NPP never extended such opportunities to known NDC figures, regardless of their capabilities.

I am utterly disappointed in the President. He came into office projecting the image of a leader guided by God, with an overwhelming pool of talented individuals eager and ready to serve. What we are seeing now, however, paints a troubling picture, one that suggests either a drift from those values or the beginnings of an intoxication with power.

This decision is not just tone-deaf; it risks alienating the grassroots whose dedication and sacrifices brought us this far. The rank and file are watching. These actions or inactions will have real consequences and could significantly undermine the chances of our next candidate.

This appointment runs directly counter to what many of us in the NDC expect and hope for from our leadership. We urge introspection and a course correction before it’s too late. This is unwise and silly.
