When too much power is given to the northerners this is what happens. They abuse the power and more so their people misbehave a lot. Such examples are allover West Africa. Togo is a typical example where the president from the North has ruled that country for 20 years and still counting after 38 years rule of the father , Cote D'Ivoiris another,. The president Watara is from the north and has decided to clinch on to power even after doing 3 terms in office. Northern Nigeria is not peaceful.

A good report, but why are you hammering on the sneaking aspect? Is that the most important aspect of the report? Even the chief did not express regret to condemn the act. Ghanaweb did not offer any recommendations against the use of live fire arms in such events. Government must put in place a law to criminalize the use of live firearms and a severe sentence for culprits. The police must be made to enforce such laws to arrest people with live ammunition during such festivals across the country.

I see guns being shot right close to the Asanatehene and many other chiefs during such celebrations. Things can always go against plan. Why gunning instead of enjoying ourselves?

Our politicians are now afraid of the chieftancy institution. Most of their acts are outmoded, unnecessary, cruel, inhumane, smacks of self-agrandiousment, unnecessary show of non-existent power and bravery, awkward, competitive, and in fact stupid.
Politicians are afraid to offend and lose votes, so these chiefs are on the loose perpetrating a lot of nonsensical actions.
Illigal mining, land sales and land guardism are all the doings of kings and chiefs in Ghana. Our chiefs get irascible at the least critism. Are they gods?

For how long can we be tolerant to this pricky behaviour.

But go to the northern region and see when farmers are going to their farms with guns the police will arrest them but during festivals and funerals these same farmers carry their guns Infront of the police and they see nothing wrong about that .
