Someone who abuse people's rights to benefit his personal interest cannot use the same to defend himself when he is caught.

I agree on presidential pardon on the basis of ill-health but not on miscarriage of justice and human rights. If it is miscarriage of justice and human rights, he should be there till he is done with the sentence to serve as a lesson to everyone.

If Ato Essien believes he is innocent he must ask his lawyers to take his case to the court of appeal or the court for human rights. If people who commit crimes are often pardoned, then there will be no deterrent for a crime and Ghanaians will not change their criminal habits . How do Ghanaians expect team ORAL to do its mandate if petitions for clemency are sought for those who break the law.
