In Proverbs 6:31,
The Bible states that if a thief is caught, they must repay seven times what they stole. This repayment can be so significant that it may require them to sell everything they own. The sevenfold repayment emphasizes the seriousness of stealing and the need for complete
Here's a breakdown of the verse and its implications:
Sevenfold repayment:
The thief is not just required to return what was stolen, but seven times its value.
Consequences:
This repayment can be so substantial that it could lead to the thief losing all their possessions.
Purpose:
The verse highlights the consequences of dishonesty and the importance of integrity. It also underscores the value of restitution and making amends for wrongdoing.
Biblical context:
This principle of restitution is also found in the Mosaic Law, where a thief might be required to repay multiple times what was stolen (Exodus 22:1).
Symbolism of seven:
In the Bible, the number seven often represents completeness or perfection. Therefore, paying sevenfold suggests a complete and full restitution.
Warning against greed:
The verse also serves as a warning against pursuing ill-gotten gains and reminds people of the value of integrity over material wealth.
People don't hate a thief when he steals because he is hungry. But if he is caught, he must pay back seven times what he stole, and it may cost him everything he owns.

Having read a little bit of the case against Agradaa, I still think that the sentence is too harsh. I do not know the sentencing guidelines for cases of religiously defrauding people. I believe that the judge applied the maximum sentence to Agradaa. 15 years in jail harsh. Politicians who caused financial loss of over $1m went to jail for 8 years. See "Victor Selormey, a former Deputy Finance Minister in the NDC government has been sentenced to eight years imprisonment with hard labour. Selormey was on Monday found guilty on two counts of defrauding the state by false pretences." I think that what Agradaa did was similar to 'false pretences' with intent knowing very well she cannot double the money of persons that invested in her business.

She might have been charged with different charges under the same crime. Yes, that why people say the Law is an ASS. Imagine pulling out a Gun to rob somebody. It could be a robbery of only one Cedi but when the Law comes in, you may be surprised about the many charges that will come into play. Yes, the sentence is harsh but she might have been charged under different crimes under the same offense. Unfortunately, that is how the law works. People just need to be careful when going at variance with the law.

This woman has been a torn in the flesh of many victims who fell to her scam.
Now it's payback time. The judge even helped the convict. She should have been gaoled for the maximum 25 years.

Ghanaians and hypocrisy? Hmmmm. When this woman was scamming people we all called the law enforcement agencies to do something. As Karma will have its way she's been convicted and the same Ghanaians are saying the sentence is harsh. The judge sentenced her within the stipulated law. The minimum for such a crime is 10 years and the maximum is 25 years. For her lawyer to plead to the judge to temper justice with mercy shows that his client was wrong. She's even lucky to have 15nyears. If I was the judge I would have given her the maximum. Now we can relax cool in Ghana here. Long live the judge and the prosecutor.

She wasn’t that clever or smart , probably got greedy , gullible , lazy people with quick money without hard work mentality or Stupid ones to succumb to her SCAMS. Who in his or her right senses would want to be involved with this kind thing? Probably, she thinks she is Smart , but I am afraid she ain’t. I Suspect she is rather sick because She tended to believe in her Nonsense of Spirituality which Doesn’t Exist. Just consider her behaviour of burning her so called Fetish and quick CONVERSION into becoming a person of GOD yet with Such an Extremely FOUL mouth. What kind of person would utter such words?
