  npp legacy. They ate all the monies meant for roads construction. They delivered nothing. Contracts were inflated by 300% yet there's nothing to show. For 8 years, the refain was "Year of Roads". Hmmmm

  In Ghana, our problem is citizens who want to throw rubbish anywhere, disobey every rule, and yet expect some politician somewhere to solve the problem that their habits bring.
  
  IT WONT WORK. If you want to stop flooding, stop throwing rubbish everywhere. SIMPLE.

  It is because of poor Town and Country planning by the authorities or Accra Metropolitan Assembly coupled with greedy and illiterate Chiefs and unpatriotic people. These bustards have no morals and they will sell an plot or water bodies basins leading to rain water stagnating due to the greedy sale of every land without any consideration of pedestrians and other human rights activities like community parks, schools, hospitals, transport stations, libraries, youth clubs, entertainment clubs etc etc

  Exactly Tosh, I've driven through that flooded stretch on some occasions and even in my 4x4 it's really deep and the water touches my engine and makes the windscreen misty. It's something that the Roads & Highways authority should do something about. Storm drains blocked and river bodies being built on won't help at all.
