I think Ayariga was only covering up his party's hypocrisy on this matter. If he claims there was no vacancies for the two justices who were appointed for approval at that time, then they should tell Ghanaians how many vacancies are available to justify the appointments of these 7 justices.
Now it is clear that any government in power will appoint unlimited number of Justices to the supreme Court once it has the majority to approve them. Ghana will continue to suffer in the hands of both NDC and NPP.

There was no vacancy ooo but when about to go, to appoint 2 more Justices just to hang around for early retirement or vacancies. This is one of the reasons CJ sackey Torkonor must go because she also recommended Justices to the President knowing very well that, there is no vacancy ooo. Horrible

Your NPP government refused top heed the calls to support packing the Supreme Court with so many NPP appointees, so you have no business crying foul when the current government does exactly what your NPP government had done previously. Afenyo-Markin, you supported the actions of Akufo-Addo when he made his Supreme Court appointments, so why do you now care to cry when this new government is merely doing what the NPP had done?
