Please put a stop to the corrupt practice of participating in excessive workshops and conferences for money. As you rightly said the resources should go to strengthening the health infrastructure and to conferences and workshops.

It is not only the GHS , all institutions in Ghana are all using state funds for these unnecessary workshops and seminars both in Ghana and abroad taken a lot of per diems etc. The wastage is too much in the public sector and I don't blame anybody but the civil servants. They are very wicked than the politicians and they are not blamed for our problems. It is very disgusting to see people being paid for travelling to Accra to Kumasi to work for the same duty they are paid monthly for. It is ridiculous if you are told the kind of allowances paid to workers in Ghana unnecessarily. These payments runs into billions of dollars but nobody talks about. Thank you Mr Akandoh and I know the listening president JM will do something about this wastage.

When most of our healthcare providers fail miserably in the most basic standards and provisions of health care though gross negligence and lack of facilities, they want to spend the money on workshops pretending to improve their care.

It's like an illiterates aboboya driver spending money to go to Europe for formula 1 race car training.

We are just dumb and corrupt to manage such a resource abundant country and still be this poor.
