It is the prosecutorial or disciplinary powers that the government does not have. So the presidency can pardon those media agencies. But at the same time, the presidency cannot summarily shut them down without due process.

It is just as the president can pardon any convicted person in the country; but he cannot send anybody to prison without due process of law.

This person has it wrong in saying that the President, if allowed to show clemency, may in future ascribe to himself powers to shut the media systems down. But that is a confusion in the understanding of the presidential powers.

As the country embarks on putting the broken economy NPP left behind, that closure can't be done at this moment. Fools, the closure may have negative effect on the economy. Job loses from cleaners, security men and the rest will all remain unemployed. If the president said the closure should be suspended to let the operators of these stations to do the right thing, what is wrong with it? Stupid political party full of stupid people.
That is why your stupid party under the leadership of Akufo Addo and his cousins recklessly collapsed and closed hundreds of financial institutions forgetting about the implications on job loses and loss of tax revenue to the state. You people prefer immediate collapse and closure instead of revamping to boost economic activities.
If after this clemency they fail to do what is right, then their closure will be blamed on their management. OFUI.
