@Joe are you sure you read the post properly. The minister in addition stated that the Generals were released legally and based on normal military practice. In anycase, anyone who is not happy is at liberty to go to court.

Now, Brig Gen Alobawone has gone pass the compulsory retirement age of sixty, but he has been retained and appointed as the Special Advisor to the Ghana Pernanent Representative to the UN, whiles Maj Gen Agyemang Prempeh who is no near his compulsory retirement age of 63 has been given a boot. Maj Gen Essien who happens to be intake mate Brig Gen Alobawone has also been sacked, even though he is no near his retirement of 63 years. There has never been a time since 1992 that the Ghana Armed Forces have been politicized than this. You are a big liar. Try and change from your crooked ways a bit. Maj Gen Irvin Aryeetey has already gone pass his compulsory retirement age of 63, so are you still keeping him for consideration of another appointment outside? Is it because he is a known NDC sympathizer? Your NDC Party has, as it stands now, destroyed the Ghana Armed Forces with dirty politics. Even the appointment of an average Brig Gen to the highest office of CDS, over some over-average and competent equals and superiors is a huge problematic.

I still stand by my description of the current CDS as an average officer, because he comes no close to Brig Gen Asare, Maj Gen Essien, Brig Gen Alobawone and others. This is a fact, and he the CDS knows it. Dirty politics has ruined the hitherto respected Ghana Armed Forces. Too bad.

Since, I believe you have no clues regarding the current strength of the Ghana Armed Forces, it would be better for you to hasten slowly in condemning the promotions. As a good citizen, one would have thought that you will rather criticize the numerous political appointments being made because they go with large purse as compared to the promotions that you are worried about.
