All over the world, no one uses it against their names as if they’re academic achievements. That’s why reasonable persons who have been recognized with honorary doctorates don’t use it against their names. Examples are President Kufour, JJ Rawlings, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Otumfour, Obama, Clinton, Kofi Anann, Lordina Mahama. These decent persons have all been bestowed with honorary doctorates but they never used it against their names because it’s wrong and illegal to do so!! Osei Kwame Despite, Randy Abbey, Obed Asante (Ghana Nuts) etc, should all desist from using the title deceptively before the GTEC disgraces them. A word to the wise is enough!

I was planning to apply for a teaching profession until I met the unqualified, under-educated Dean. I wouldn't even sit in class with such a hack, yet alone report to him.

NO QUALIFIED ACADEMIC WOULD, which implies only the LEAST qualified people are hired and then being propped up to fleece the public.

The fact is that they might have done something significant in the society which can be considered as their contribution to human development, positive societal impact, etc to earn that, and thus should be recognised as such to motivate more people to also follow suit. However, I standpoint is that if they can't use them then there is no sense in honouring them by such titles, period!l by those institutions that have been honouring people frequently.
