You’ve played your role in parliament and would always be respected for that. Let a younger and more vibrant person take over, hopefully, that person won’t be Ahiafor, he has no leadership qualities and isn’t respected by both sides.

His occasional unparliamentary language as in this instance, is a disgrace to himself as the leader and the August house he is supposed to head.
Moreso as an educated individual, a veteran of the house, a lawyer and lastly 3rd in line as head of state in the absence from the country of the president and vice-president.The speaker should set an example in parliament for others to follow.

This Speaker by default is very rude, disrespectful irresponsible and overwhelmed by where he finds himself, a place that he never dreamt of. He must be commended for resolving the issue of chaos in the House the way he did but must be condemned for his irresponsible humiliation of the representative of the good people of Effiduase - Asokore who is a husband, a father and a doctor; by using the words that came out of his mouth - e.g Even a dog is obeyed in office, Right Honourable vrs Honourable, the sharp reprimand of the lady MP who formed part of the barricade that prevented the Marshall from ejecting the Asokore MP and others. There are better ways to address this issue without going on that tangent. As if that was not enough, When Ayariga had his turn, he also started going on that tangent until Bagbin stopped him. Why cant Bagbin say that denigrating the chair is tantamount to denigrating the House to which the MP belongs and therefore the MP would be insulting or hurting himself instead of Bagbin always quick to remind MPs who disagree with him that his authority is higher than the MPs. Of course, MPs know that he is the Speaker. With Bagbin's sometimes irresponsible behavior, he should be careful that one day, someone does not address him as Wrong Dishonourable instead of Right Honourable.
