People go to hospitals needing help, sometimes life and death situations but the way Ghanaian nurses and in fact all medical staff treat patients is appalling. They don’t deserve any better service conditions than what they are currently receiving. They have no respect for patients and in fact I doubt their professional qualifications. They watch tv all day and talk to patients, some of whom could be their own grandparents, very disrespectfully. I have personally witnessed many such incidents and had intervened many times. They deserve nothing until they change their mentality. They should serve people with respect. If you don’t like your job, quit.
