  Nkrumah went to the university and started his PhD but didn’t complete it. He then accepted honorary doctorate from the university of Pennsylvania. He actually went to university to study unlike many people we know who never attempted any higher education but call themselves experts and doctors. The government should clamp down on all fake degrees. Fake degree holders are destroying the country because they don’t have the education and the experience but occupy high positions. It is a serious matter.

  Lula Da Silva of Brazil and Jacob Zumah of South Africa may not be highly educated but they pushed their respective countries higher economically. They may be Corrupt though but better than Ghana's PhD holders.

  Only academically weak ppl are afraid of others academic titles. Personally I don't regard ppl like Randy Abbey, Cassiel Ato Forson or Ofosu Ampofo.All of them bought their PhDs.NDC can sell higher in public but we know them.

  So those calling themselves Dr with honour must be careful. Hence those using Dr (Med), Dr (Dent) and Dr (Pharm D) must be looked at (4years +2years study). It is equivalent to MSc. not doctorate. It is not the same as Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D). GTEC must address this also...

  The important thing is NOT how long your course was or whether you did attend any tertiary institution for any reason or purpose. The MOST important thing is, what has one accomplished after being educated and what is ones moral standing in society? We worship titles and qualifications too much to our own disadvantage. In other much more developed societies, one never hears of people referring to themselves with all sorts of academic titles in the public domain. Is the unnecessary public flouting of titles - both academic and professional, a symptom of acute inferiority complex? Meanwhile there is very little substantial material evidence in the public domain to attest for all the titles flying about.

I am afraid our society has created this illusion of academic superiority hence the need for some people in Desperation to append fake letters to their names. I have met some well educated people with academic degrees in Ghana who never added any of their academic titles to their names . OfCourse EMPTY BARRELS Always Make NOISES.

  That is not correct. If you have done your homework well, you would have known that, Yes—graduates of Oxford Saïd’s Executive Education programs (like the Oxford Advanced Management & Leadership Programme) are entitled to alumni status and can refer to themselves as an “alumnus” .
