At least he agrees it solves the problem. The debt needs to be cleared. When they levied for cathedral no one complained. What was the e-levy used for? If 1ghc will keep the power on then why not?

Energy Sector Levy Act is a fund established in 2015 to pay off the debt in the Energy Sector. Richard Ahiagba, the question you should be answering is how did the NPP manage the ESLA from 2017-2025? This is not a new tax, it is an increase in the ESLA fund. The point is within the period of ten years, why do we still have the Energy Sector debt? NPP should tell Ghanaians per the Finance Ministry's report from 2017-2025 made 42.2billion cedis equivalent to $4billion. Where's that money NPP?

I did my research before posting my statement. If you add the money NPP accrued from the levy from 2017-2025 is 42.2bn cedis equivalent to $4billion so why didn't the NPP clear their $4bn debt at the Energy Sector before leaving power to prove to Ghanaians they managed the ESLA properly and didn't leave arrears for the next government to inherit.
