He has to get dead certificate and permit before he can burry the child at home. The room is not designate a burial ground or cemetery, so it is a crime. In Ghana we don't follow the law so everything looks normal.

In many traditions in Ghana,dead persons are buried in compounds or house premises and others in mosques. So is the problem with place of burial or refusal to inform the wife?

This story makes no sense. It is well established the child was not murdered so my feeling is probably because the wife was pregnant he did not want to make her see it in case it affects the baby in the belly but probably did it the wrong way.

The only problem I envisaged here is that, the marriage is not a rosy one with beatings which complicates things, hence the wife spilling the bean.

It is really a very sad moment for both of them. I dont expect the man to be in prison for long if a judge decides to do that which I doubt. Maybe a fine or caution I suppose.
