  What a damned disappointment.
  Here's guy who could have used his Princeton MBA- Finance pedigree to restructure Ghana's financial architecture for the long haul and bombed hugely.
  The poor guy thought he was a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a corporation instead of a Treasury Secretary.
  What else, when he gleefully declared- a paean to his stewardship of Ghana's Treasury- " you said you want yield... now you got yield"
  Yes,
  Corporations could write off interest payments on their financials but government can't.
  And..
  Then being the linchpin behind " The National Cathedral"- echoes of Felix Houphouet-Boigny's La Basiiique Notre Dame de la Paix de Yamoussoukro.
  That was pure misalignment of government public policy a clear misapplication of public fund...no doubt
  But..
  And,
  I am not holding brief for the former President....
  Please don't blame Akuffo Addo, I don't believe he gives ....you know what.. about this pie in the sky lunacy but went along to pacify his cousin because he could, as President under Ghana's unitary presidential republic.
  
  Here's my hope...and this stage in my life that's all I got...is that the current administration will learn from it, exorcise arrogance and move Ghana and The Continent forward because the success of Pan African's jewel in the crown is inextricably linked with the success of the diaspora.

  Even US and other developed nations have national prayer centers., cathderals etc.Spending on Ghana's National cathedral is deemed arrogance. When national thanksgiving and other religious events, Women Aglow, funerals and other meetings are done under canopies under the heat and rain at the forecourt of parliament house, black star square etc. Another atheist who care less and hate anything related to the Christian Bible.
