    Only few people in the formal sector are paying taxes in Ghana. . Most businesses in the informal sector don't pay taxes and no efforts are being made to formalize their economic activities and pay taxes to the state

    THE PROBLEM IS THAT OUR THINKING ABOUT TAX IS MIRED IN UNREALISTIC RECEIVED WESTERN DOCTRINES ABOUT TAXATION.
    WHY NOT SHIFT 50 PERCENT OF PERSONAL TAX TO BUILDINGS TAX.

    @Kwaku. Good idea. I hope that the political leadership will read your proposal and act accordingly. We should find innovative ways of generating income to the state. We cannot depend on only Gold and Cocoa exports.
