That a TIP OF THE ICEBERG. The High Commission staff- block appointments booking systems so that you get appointments very far into the future or you resort to pay them bribes to get early appointments. VERY SAD.
Instead of getting the required appointment for a Visa or Passport applications in say June 2025, when you apply, all the June, July and August appointments slots are deliberately blocked and you would receive September or October instead, if you are lucky. AFRICA HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO.

I find it so strange and that is my observation. What is in their DNA? Onassis Koby is right in calling for an extension of the clamp down to other embassies.
I live in Manchester,UK. About 43 years ago, I needed to renew by Ghanaian passport and contacted the Ghana High Commission in London. I completed the required forms and sent them to London. For many months,absolutely nothing happened.When I got in touch after going through so many hoops,I was told to come down to London.I completely refused and wrote to the High Commissioner personally complaining about the tediousness of applying/renewing passports in the UK.To his credit,the High Commissioner personally called me at home about my complaint and within a few days,got my passport sorted without having to go to London.
As a result of that experience,I decided to naturalise to become a British citizen.That process was pretty straight forward compared to my earlier experience with the Ghana High Commission ,London.
The moral of my story is that,corrupt practices appears to be endemic in Ghana Embassies/High Commissions abroad and,it needs to be tackled.Mr Ablakwa,over to you.

Who is this Imbecile praising Okudjato Abrakwa for closing our Embassy in Washington DC, what an idiot. Do you know the damage it has caused, why are most of NDC people are dumb and empty of ideas, this Embassy closer has tended a lot of travellers who were waiting for their Visas in limbo, so are those who have submitted their application for Visa just last week, if I were Okudjato Abrakwa, o would have interacted with the American Authorities to consider and allowed travellers who has no Visa but Ghana Card to be allowed to travel until the further notice. Or until the situation is rectified. This the right thing to do, not using your Facebook page to take a stand, which is unethical of a whole Foreign Minister.
