The President is apt in his actions in that aspect. The President is actually trying to protect the Public purse. During the eight years of Mahama and Mills administration (2009-2016) I made more than 15 trips between New York and Accra. And all those trips the Visa’s that were issued to me by the Ghana Mission in New York had no official logo of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They were all knock off receipts. And I will display some of these receipts for Ghanaians to see how wicked John Mahama and his appointees: even including how those who worked in the various missions outside Ghana ripped our country off! I swear when I went to renew my passport at the Ghana High Commission in London somewhere last year, when I arrived at the reception I was asked if I had brought my own envelope (which my passport would be delivered in), and I said no and they showed me the kind they were asking for and said it cost £10 at the embassy or I would have to go all the way back to the nearest post office to buy one. In the past you didn't have to pay for any postal material (or services).

Folks, Before Nana Akufu Addo became president of Ghana in 2016 he created a bank account similar to that of their party account at the blind side of the party executives. Nana Akufu Addo and his surrogate stole party funds using this unauthorised bank account. It's no wonder that his appointees like Adu Boahen and others are using similar methods to steal public funds. With the disclosure from Washington DC, it means this modus operandi is wide spread and deep. Therefore the government should as a matter of urgency promulgate a legislature to force Bank managers in the country to report albeit in secrecy any active bank account that mimic that of Ghana government agencies bank accounts.

I'd advice that all other Embassies be investigated. Worst things happened even when Kufuor was President and Nana Addo was the Minister of Foreign Affairs. 300 of our passports were processed for Nigerian prostitutes by the Embassy in Italy.

You can't apply for visa online and get it, though the portal is on their website. Embassy officials have liased with the numerous Ghanaian ticket/ travel agents to acquire visas through them at 2x the visa fee.

A typical example is the Embassy of Ghana in The Hague, NL. Close all non active embassies down and call the staff back to Ghana. Introduce a temporary visa on arrival at Kotoka Airport until a better solution is found.

All Ghana Embassy staff are thieves and don't serve the purpose for which they have been posted.

What is the point of collecting visa fee from Ghanaians abroad for 5 years whilst the money was going into somebody else personal account, that is enough reason for Ghana to go visa free or cheap electronic visa. This same problem is happening at all Ghana embassies around the world, it is a syndicate, not Washington alone. Ghana embassies don't issue visas anymore, you have to go through a third party.
