By applying objectivity and logic, the NPP has a lot of support in the Southern part of Ghana compared with the Northern part of Ghana and so it makes sense to choose a Southerner because Ghanaians vote on tribal basis.
For example, in the UK, all the Prime Ministers have been English men and women. Gordon Brown was a Scottish but he inherited the Premier position from Prime Minister Tony Blair. Gordon Brown never won an election and when he tried he lost to David Cameron.

To my mind Dr Adutwum and Dr Mohamed Amin Anta will be a formidable pair for the party in 2028. The rank and file of the NPP should rally behind them and we will see wonders in 2028. Emotional attachment to a flagbearer who led this great party to the worst electoral defeat since it's formation will only lead to another disaster.
