It's highly disingenuous to say that the ruling Government has not implemented any policy that is reflecting in the ongoing cedis appreciation. Much has been said about Goldboad that has raked in a lot of dollars thereby reducing pressure on the cedis. Another policy is the sale of cocoa. Four(4) months of Cocoa sale in 2025 surpassed that of eleven(11) months of NPP government. Furthermore, the head on fight against corruption in any shape or form is sending the right signal to the investors that their investments are in a pair of save hands. Need we remind ourselves about how NPP government decimated our resources with reckless abundance?. Even, the Bank of Ghana,the bank of last resort has posted losses. The economic outlook was so bad that Dr. Bawuliar run away from issues related to the economy and took refuge in digitalisation how dare him now want to take the shine from hard working NDC government?.

It's surprising that, Bawumia of all people doesn't know that Ghana's gold reserves are kept in a London bank and they are not readily available to the government of Ghana to use to shore up the value of the cedi. This is why he was saying that they the NPP left 30 tonnes of gold reserves and this is the reason why the cedi is performing well.
Even concerning the weakening of the dollar, Bawumia has failed to realise that the cedi is also appreciating against the British pound and the Euro whose values are not weakening like that of the dollar.
As Edudzie Tamakloe advised, it's better for Bawumia to be sober and refrain from any propaganda now. The more he makes such noise, the more he will expose his ignorance.
