They can reduce the prices and sell the current stock. Then exchange the cedi to get more dollars at a much lower rate which keeps going down daily. This will allow them to get more merchandise unless they plan on not doing business anymore. The traders are greedy and do not understand holding on to merchandise is wasting time therefore wasting money. Buyers should stop purchasing except necessities and let's see what they will do with their stock. These sellers forget they are nothing without the buyers!

Everyone knows that Ghanaian traders are greedy, period. They are quick to increase prices when the cedi depreciates against the dollar but when it appreciates, they are reluctant to reduce prices. How could this be? The government should open more state owned stores to sell goods to the masses at control prices. This would stop the stupidity of the traders.

No trader should reduce his or her goods because the cedi appreciation is not sustainable. Moreover your rent , utility bill is still same and if you go to the hospital do think the doctors are going to charge you less.

People like you are nation wreckers. How could you compare prices of goods to rent? It should start from somewhere. Today, the drivers are reducing prices and they are not saying that rents are still high. One step at a time. Food prices and transportation costs are everyday expenses that is why it’s important to talk about that first. Think, ok?

Greediness does not attract blessings from God but in the long run, it only results in misery.

This same traders were the cause of abnoal price increases that happened under Nana Addo second term yet NDC blamed NPP. and would not take any explanation. Tje traders took advantage during the Covid but NPP were not smart but blame it solely on the Russia - Ukrain and Covid. I thought after the Covid, they should have forced traders to reduce prices back to pre-Covid prices. But trader left so and kept increasing. This ongoing price reduction brouhaha is a smart delebrate agenda set by NDC and seems to be promising. Some NDC people during the election victory celebration kept saying they will reduce their prices and also compel trader to follow . Low for Mahama and behold that's exactly what is happening.
