Mr Jantuah should stop being a hypocrite.
During the time of Akuffo Addo , his vice Bawumia felt sick while in his office and has to be taken directly to London for medical treatment. He was not even sent to any of our hospitals for initial evaluation but from his office straight to Kotoka airport to London. However Naana Jane was initially evaluated at hospital before being flown to London for treatment.
Mr Jantuah’s made a very impactful point by stressing the need to make our hospitals efficient and capable of treating patients so that everybody will have access to quality health care without the need of sending the privileged few about for medical treatment because we are all human beings.
If Ghanaians will be bold enough to stop their leaders from going abroad to seek medical treatment, they will be compelled to make our medical facilities efficient to treat all of us . Besiege the airport and stop them from leaving the country for treatment.

The Veep's condition wasn't out of the ordinary. There are thousands of Ghanaians, who suffer same and are salvaged by our health system. How many lecturers, get flown out of the country, after a medical emergency? She didn't undergo any ground breaking surgery or procedure, to our knowledge, otherwise unavailable in Ghana. Politicians have a low threshold for medical treatment in Ghana, when in power. The latter should not be a reason to bastardize our health system.

THERE IS NO HOSPITAL IN GHANA
All the top politicians and the Ghana Medical Association know that there is no hospital in Ghana. The President and the Vice President and the Speaker of Parliament who are the heads of the vital arms of the Ghana Government travel overseas for their medical care. That proves that the structures that are labeled as HOSPITALS are truly CLINICS AND HEALTH POSTS. The politicians have scammed the Ghanaian taxpayers.

Ghanaians are busy gossiping about unnecessary things whiles the country has moved back beyond the middle ages and you cannot have a matured conversation with anyone, cos there are no adults in the country.
The only time people wake up is when they are penniless or on their sick bed. What a country!!!

I assume the government paid for the vice president's medical treatment overseas, therefore she owes it to the taxpayers to reveal her ailment. It appears there are two-tier healthcare system in the country, one for everybody and the other for politicians, who get to bypass the nation's atrocious healthcare system by going overseas for treatment at taxpayers' expense. Ghanaians are stupid to allow this to happen. If politicians can seek treatment overseas, they have no incentives to upgrade the country's grumbling healthcare system.

I want to take this opportunity to advise or at least suggest to Ghanaians that it's best to have orthodox health care if it's about most chronic diseases. Why? Because most of these so called herbal medicines are fake and mixed with orthodox medicines before it reaches the public causing complications or non treated conditions for a long period leading to deaths. Otherwise the so called herbal medicines treat the symptoms like headaches, fever and others but not the actual disease, ending up with complications which could be too late to be treated at the orthodox hospitals. Chronic conditions such as: Hypertension, Diabetes, Kidney diseases, Liver diseases, or other organs diseases. Any form of body disease if treatment is commenced in the early stages can be cured at the orthodox Health Care Units. With all apologies to our herbalist; I don't mean to destroy your business but as I typed this message, I have 2 friends and a relative who has just passed on from Hypertension, and had been on herbal treatment. Please let's save lifes and not be so dependent on money. People die leaving money and properties behind. LIFE IS VERY VALUABLE..... Thanks
