    Misleading. You are quoting using March 2025 figures. Between March 2025 and now the cedi has appreciated significantly. In March cedi traded around 15, today it trades below 12.

    All countries devalue their currencies and increase their income by exporting to pay off their debts. Ghana does the opposite.

    The value of gold is indexed to the dollar, the value of the cedi does not change the price of gold. Ghana has about $90 billion worth of gold reserves, which will last for 10 years at most.
