The Aban Papa has come for Sammy Gyamfi and co. because you are enjoying but not all Ghanaians. Prices of goods are still high so we are not feeling the effect of the cedi appreciation. The moment dollar go up all prices are increased immediately. Why can’t the same be done now that the dollar keeps going down? People always find excuses to enrich them selves.

Why do you keep printing this rubbish? Cedis appreciation is only down to the erratic behaviour and policies of Donald Trump, which is just a ploy to milk the middle classes as well as BOG artificially propping up the Cedis. It will all end in tears. When debt repayments are due in September we will see a different story. Invest in dollars now it will be $20 - 25 to one cedis by the end of the year. This bubble has no foundations to be sustainable. So Ghana has a little bit of Gold, how much does US & UK have in reserves and don't forget they have significantly reduced their spending due to aid cuts and US has drastically increased its revenues due to tariff taxes. Want to invest in Tulips anyone.

THE GAINS IN GHS SHOULD RATHER BE BASED ON HIGH PRODUCTIVITY IN EXPORT OF GHANAIAN GOODS AND SERVICES, INCREASE IN TOURISM INFRASTRUCTURES ,CLEANLINESS OF OUR CITIES AND TOWNS TO BOOST INFLUX OF TOURISM INTO GHANA RATHER RELYING SOLELY ON GOLD EXPORTS. THIS BECAUSE IN FUTURE ALL OUR NATURAL RESOURCES IE GOLD ,BAUXITE,DIAMOND, LITHIUM ,OIL SHALL BE DEPLETED AS MINING GOES ON DAILY BUT TOURISM SHALL ALWAYS BE THERE DUE TO OUR FREE ACCESS TO GOD'S CREATION OF SEA,SUN AND SAND ,HENCE IN SO FAR AS TOURISM IS IN A SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRY IT SHALL THRIVE FOR EVER TO ENABLE GHANA EARN MUCH FROM TOURISM. MOST DEVELOPED COUNTRIES NOW EARN MUCH IN TOURISM AFTER THEIR INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION S.AMERICA ,UK ,FRANCE AND EMIRATES NOW EARN MUCH FROM TOURISM AND GHANA SHOULD FOLLOW THEM .CLEANLINESS, RULE OF LAW AND PEACE CAN BOOST GROWTH OF TOURISM IN GHANA TO EARN GOOD FOREIGN CURRENCIES.

I must admit that currency appreciation brings stability to the market because the end result is price stability in the economy.
But if we rush to strengthen the cedi vis-a-vis other currencies, we risk deterring tourists from visiting the country even if we limit visa applications to two days.
Foreign exchange rates are relative. But what we are seeing is a rapid appreciation of the cedi for political reasons. The prices of goods and services have remained the same and rising in some cases. So if my dollar could have bought two coconuts last month but can only buy one today because the dollar has depreciated. Those making policies just to support the currency without looking at the effects on the other areas of the economy should stop and think. Gradual policy implementation is better than a rushed one. Because any errors made will take time to correct in the short term.

This attests to the fact that our indecent politicians are really responsible for the suffering of Ghanaians and not economic underperformance by the Ghanaian workers. Broad day light stealing and distribution of public money under pretencies and blame game by politicians mouthpieces to justify their righteousness comparing what previous opponents did. Is that leadership?
