  Since a bee stung me under a mango tree in my village at Asikuma last year i've been able to go 3 rounds with Afua Ataa instead of the normal half-round. Afua Ataa thinks I'm Champion mu Champion.

Peers wouldn’t dispute this but to make such a statement is unacceptable without the details. Snake, Scorpion and Bee venom have neurological properties that are used to produce antidotes, accepted. But my Grandmother may not survive a Bee,Scorpion or Snake attack on her farm if help doesn’t come quickly.

  Read the story well. She is not saying every sick person should be dragged and have his/her head stuck inside a beehive for their healing.
  
  The story is about the protection of the ecosystem and pollinators. Meaning pollinators such as bees should not be hunted or smoked out of existence because they are very important for our existence.
  
  And that bees equally have to be protected and that when you are stung its not the end of the well but you can actually become more macho as well.
  
  Since I had awareness of the i,portance of pollinators to our ecosystem when in Secondary School I have stopped killing bees when a stubborn one gets into the house. I rather open the windows for it to escape back into the wild to continue its services to mankind!

  Bee stings are a defence mechanism and therefore either contain mild toxins or venom not sure which but they are meant to cause pain.
  
  So to say they are medicinal is not quite true. They may have medicinal properties but generally should be avoided for a number of reasons.
  
  Some people have an anaphylatic reaction to bee stings, even one can make them poorly or even succumb to the sting.
  Or if you receive multiple stings which is not uncommon as bees swarm and i believe when one stings phermonones invite others to do the same. So a large number of stings can also prove deadly.
  
  On the other hand their stings may be used in treatments in a controlled situation. I dont know the details of whether this is from an extract or direct sting. As pointed out just as other things like a mosquito which secretes something to stop blood coagulating and this can be used in medicine. Or snake venom can be used to produce anti venom. But the venom is injected in to a horse to produce the anti venom which this is then harvested.
  
  Anyway the point is bee stings are best avoided.
  But the sting can be useful in medicine.
  
  Bees and this cannot be stressed enough play an important part in ecosystems as pollinators. There absence is likely to cause food shortages.
  So they must be protected.
  
  Let us remind ourselves a bee sting is fatal to the bee itself due to barbs in its sting so them stinging is a last resort .
  
  Protect bees by understanding and appreciating them. The conflict betwen people and bees can be avoided. Creating mutual benefits including honey and avoidance of bee stings

How can a bee or bees sting human being one or two and leave him or her to be cured of an ailment ? When my uncle was lying in state, you could see the stings all over the body so I'm wondering how this could have medicinal properties. I see it as rather deadly instead. Anyway.
