That is, to give a person or institution the opportunity to either agree to or reject adverse findings that you the auditor have made before taking further action. He didn't do that, despite several demands by the University authorities.

After interviewing personnel of the account department & other stakeholders, there was a debriefing where findings were laid bare. That was an opportunity for management to offer answers. All these take place before a final report is written. Why should UTAG issue a threat calling for the resignation of the AG ? Academia & the so-called experts are Ghana's problem.

The laws on percentage of what to retain is clear unless Legon is not permitted to use all. Anyway, retaining part of internal generated funds is only a means to support the institution in its activities. Government subvention to the University of Ghana, Legon has been going down over the years and the politicians must act quickly to avoid the university from a total collapse.
