  Yes, that is how you think. A leader who collapsed businesses, chased businessmen out the country and you see him as a good leader? JJ saw every rich Ghanaian as a thief who stole from the treasury including cocoa farmers and his actions led to the almost collapsed of the economy.
  
  Who sold most of the factories established by Nkrumah, and the reason? JJ piled the unemployment figures to an unprecedented level ever, and with the gun, people were afraid to complain till Kufuor came before Ghanaians started complaining of no jobs.
  
  How did Nsawam Canary become the sole property of Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, and remember that factory was established by Nkrumah.

  15th may 1979 was a memorable day in the annals of our political history. Ghanaians at time, were clamouring for a change from a military rule to a democratic rule. Promises, were made by the then government of Gen. Akuffo , who has assumed the mantle of leadership after the overthrow of Acheampong and his novel idea of a union government. General Akuffo promised a return to civil rule, but that did settled down well with majority of Ghanaians, who felt that they will hand over, and go with their ill-gotten loot. The need for their accountability to the people of Ghana, brought about the 15th may uprising led by Ft/Lt J.J.Rawlings. A great many people of Ghanaians were disappointed when it became abortive. 15th may, provided the platform for Rawlings, to voice out the grievances of the ' ordinary Man' in the street who has been muzzled over the years under military rule. Rawlingses arrest and trial after his abortive attempt to capture state power, provided the spark for the glorious June 4 revolution and the political awareness it brought into our body- politic.
