About two or three months ago, the news media announced on the air that the government had impounded a container loaded with US dollars and Ghana cedis, for which the removal and transfer of the currencies from the container into a military vehicle was made public. Since the announcement and the capture of those alleged perpetrators were made public, essential information regarding their safety and the total amount involved has not been disclosed to the public.
Such pertinent information as:
1. Were the currencies genuine or fake?
2. What was the total amount in dollars and cedis?
3. What about the Gold bars seized at KIA and hauled to an undisclosed and hopefully secure place?
4. Were the gold bars genuine or fake?
5. What was its market value?
President Mahama, for your honesty, integrity, and truthfulness' sake, can you tell Ghanaians what happened to the currencies and the gold bars? We are waiting for your response.
