If this amendment passes, he plans to argue before the Supreme Court—where he has nominated additional Justices and is working to remove the current Chief Justice—that his previous term was under the old constitution and should not count against his eligibility to run again. This move is likely to trigger legal challenges and widespread protests. But ask yourself: why would someone with only four years in office be in such a rush to rewrite the constitution?

If a past leader was using the taxpayers' money to educate school children, and the NDC then in opposition labelling it as a waste of money, what sense does it make to buy sanitary pads for schoolgirls?
