Why would a white man leave his country to go to Nigeria and decide to find a wife in Ghana?
Some of us have been campaigning against Nigerians and Ghana governments indulgence with Nigerians and the porosity of the borders because of corruption, yet no one seems to see the risks.
Actually, what's more serious isn't these hostage situations. The real menace is Nigerians' population overwhelming ours in our own country. I keep saying this here on this platform: Nigerians are 250 million, and Ghana is barely 35 million. If the current influx continues with stupid politicians just caring about only money, we will end up drowned and losing the country to Nigerians. This is common sense!

Here in Ghana, we are not completely innocent either—none of us are as pure as Jesus Christ. While I may not engage in crime myself, we must admit that every society has its challenges.
The difference is that in Ghana, our public still has some influence over who gets elected, and there are ongoing efforts by the government and security forces to uphold law and order. In Nigeria, especially in recent times, the situation has become more complex. Groups like those in the South East, who identify as Biafar, have been accused of using the country's instability to engage in illegal activities under the justification of economic survival.
Still, it's important to remember: not all Ghanaian are perfect, and not all Nigerians are bad. There are many decent, hardworking Nigerians living in Ghana and contributing positively to society.
Regarding the incident with the women who were detained—thankfully, they were not killed for organ harvesting or for some inhumane reason. It's crucial to avoid spreading fear or assumptions without facts.
So please, let’s be careful with our words and avoid painting entire groups of people with one brush. Respect and fairness go a long way in building understanding between our nations.

Far back in 2012, shopkeepers in Kpone near Tema, complained and warned about Nigerians building confidence among the public overtime, and using their laxity in vigilance to credit a lot of stuff and bolting away, only to go to other parts in the country to perpetrate the same exact acts.
Parents at the same time expressed their regrets for allowing love relationship fester between their daughters and those crooks who all sneak away when pregnancies ensue.
Yeah, some Ghanaians can be stupid but seriously, can any Ghanaian go to Nigeria and decide to kidnap Nigerian ladies? How many Ghanaians are rushing for Nigerian IDs? But I have seen countless number of Nigerians having them. And sure, I have a few Nigerian friends, but those huge numbers in the news are the criminals, to about 95% of the cases.
I was in one West African country where hundreds carted from cybercafés were sent to prison. In Senegal, some Nigerians were killed by the public for even much more serious reasons.
No country in Africa find Nigerians interesting. Why did South Africa sent them away? They're still complaining in South Africa. The only people who admire Nigerians are ladies.
