I watched a you tube interview that was granted Abdul Razak about a month ago, and Razak was asked if he was better than Polo. Guess what his answer was? He simply said he could not tell, but that should be left to Ghanaians to decide. Yet Polo claims he was the best player in the days. It is that Kotoko v Hearts rivalry.

Against archrivals Naija they had difficulty containing him and resorted to fouling. In that tournament he was the best. However overall judging the two, it would be a close call. Ghana's best top five not in any order goes like this. They are all in the conversation.

The issue is not who was a better all time player, but who was best in 1978! And there is no doubt at all that Razak deserved the award.
In 1978 Polo was nursing an injury and couldn't have received a call up if Agyemang Prempeh the then Black Stars regular left winger had not been injured in a trial March (with SS74?).
I wonder how Polo could say Razak did not deserve the award in 1978. who did Polo said deserve the award, Himself?
Or was Polo choosing the ALL TIME best in 1978?

Under no circumstance should he say such a lie in the public domain.
We should also remember that Razak was a good midfielder and Polo a good left winger.
Before 1978, Polo was an accomplished member of the fearsome 5 forwards of hearts of oak.
While Razak was a member of a new Kotoko team.
But individually Polo's FORM in 1978 was nowhere near Razak. Razak was a far better player than Polo in 1978.
Both Polo and Razak a legends, but history shows Razak has a better record than Polo, Razak has Best African Footballer of the Year award, which Polo never had, Maybe Jealousy motivated Polo to utter this nonsense.
It is impossible to truly compare Razak and Polo:
Polo was a great left winger, and Razak a great midfielder.
We should learn to acknowledge our players as being unique and stop the unnecessary comparison.
Like in life certain persons get opportunities that others don't get.If we use going to the world cup as a standard for greatness, Oppong Weah will be a nobody, I don't remember his being when at an AFCON, but he won the Best African, European and World player.

Polo of all people should know better, humility is a virtue, under no circumstance should he say what he said against Razak. A wise man does not blow his own horns. To do so makes one a bushman and undo ones achievement no matter how great!

Polo should come out and apologize, period.
