Cedi stabilization has nothing to do with bank of ghana effort.
It is the trad war ,that has caused the cedi depreciation against dollar.not ghana alone, every country is seen depreciation in their currency.

Give it another month or 2 and we’d know our smoothness level.infact, if its really the case, why are proces of goods and services still high?
And how about lending rates? The appreciation must translate and correlate, no?

How can he say later that BoG will monitor the rate an keep it within a healthy band if they wouldn't adhere to a primary task of every Central Bank in this world by managing the currency as much as possible?

The news is, that the current global gold price is bringing huge extra USD into the country, which started over a year ago. The result is a very unusual trade surplus for Ghana which increases BoG reserves and her ability to actually manage the currency effectively.

Like he is stating correctly, this is good for the economy and likely to last for the foreseeable future. But as soon as the price of gold will return to more moderate levels the party will be over. Now is the time for the government to use this exceptional break the global markets have granted the country for the lasting benefit of the nation. We will see how that works.

As a result the world and for that matter, China and Japan the largest holders of USA bond are selling their bonds and moving them away from their treasury. The world no longer have confidence in the USA hence, the decline in the dollar against all currencies of the world. Ask yourself, if it is the Ghana cedis performing against the dollar we should start seeing drops in goods and services and other major currencies as the pounds should be dropping as well. Stop throwing dust in people's eyes please. I sympathise with NDC but I will not take this lie
