The corrupt managers at ECG, dissipating and stealing at the top, power thieves, getting away with day light robbery, at the bottom, and in between, law abiding citizens, crushed by increasing tariffs due to the above. We know what the problems are. Deal with them courageously, instead of the endless talk.

  Ghana is a funny country. The same crooks line Jinaporwho in 2015 together with Kwabena Donkor signed these overpriced corrupt Karpower contracts pocketing huge Commissions in their pockets creating this very situation are now negotiating the artificial debts they created in tve first place.
  
  Some of these people like Jinapor should rather be in jail rather than supervising the criminal outcome of their actions!

No one is getting free electricity or on credit. Our electricity meters are not on credit basis. My question is that who is pocketing the money and failing to pay IPPs? ECG has already collected money from consumers at source. Where is the money?

  Because this one I can call it Karma, because I believe the man J.D.M. who signed the take or pay contract is still receiving his kick back and proceeds trickles down to so many people from morning host political programs to so called neutrals to C.S.Os they are many you can name them
  Not long ago the electricity the ordinary Ghanaians are trying to pay has been increased by 14% plus water, the ordinary Ghanaians will start feeling the heat by this month going and the fool soldiers who gets the little part share from this proceeds your light bills will consume it and get to your personal struggles
  As a result of the signing of this contract the world bank withdraw it's money of giving to Ghana freely because they are not fools they can see in between the lines, they can't put their tax payers money in the drains Mr and Mrs ordinary Ghanaians we are fetching water with basket
  By God dey he will one day be the voice of the voiceless
  This characters of greediness they exist in both parties, I mean the N.D.C and N.P.P. and among them too I believe there are good characters within let's pray that one day God will give us one of the good characters like the Burkina President

  So in effect Ghana is going to throw $200m into the rubbish bin. Money that can do a heck of a lot for hospitals, schools and social projects.
  
  And how did we get here. Because this contract signed by Jinapor and Kwabena Donkor is a fraudulent contract. Someone should have gone to jail to legally terminate the contract.
  
  But both Parties NPP and NDC turned this illegality into a goldmine to milk it for all they can get.
  
  Until someone goes to jail so this contract signed by the Mahama govt can legally be terminated the poor Ghanaian taxpayer will continue to pay for energy it doesnt need and has not used and by 2028 this debt will be close to $700m

  The NPP government was scared to terminate the contract because rightfully so until the Court can be convinced that the contract came about because of an illegality you will pay judgement debt and costs almost equivakent to $60-$100m on top of the existing debt. So NPPs solution was i did not create it . Let me leave the situation to rot for the next govt to deal with.
  
  This debt has to be dealt with ASAP. Because its increasing at an exponential rate adding to the nations debt burden. If its not dealt with aSAP this debt will be standing around $700m by 2028, 60% of which will be for energy we have never used. This is madness. !
  
  The only solution is for govt to find a way to terminate this illegal contract. To do this without incurring judgement debt will require an illegality to void the contract. It means somebody will have to be found culpable for this illegality.
  
  But this is Ghana where even politicians with cases in courts are being discharged not by the courts but via political decisions and you expect any politician to go to jail for the illegal Karpower Contract. I will rather bet my last dollar that by 2028 this debt will be around $700m and the politiciabs who created this situation pretending to be doing something about it (like they are doing now) would rather be starring at it like a deer in the headlights of an oncoming STC bus until the next govt inherits the problem and the taxpayers debt burden continuing to mount!
