She never said the CJ be offered a pass or let go without the trial. She said that everything should be done to protect our young and fragile democracy by staying faithful to the law. That it must not be that the CJ is run aground for reasons other than law and the Constitution.

Most Lawyers don’t understand the philosophical underpinnings of the State so they think the State revolves around what they say.The three organs of the State do not have any power apart from that which the State gives to them and they are required to use that power to promote the general good in the State . Therefore any person being the head of a State institution or any of the organs of government is founded to be using the power of the State to hinder the progress of the State, that person has no business continuing with the exercise of that power. Thus any time the Constitution is activated properly as in this case, what any individual or an association says is not necessary. What the GBA must know is that, anytime the Constitution is set aside on emotional ground as the GBA is exhibiting now, someone somewhere in the State is encouraged to act with impunity. Is the GBA protecting the Constitution as they claim they are required to do or their actions in this case are rooted in emotions? This same article was used against the then EC boss but you did not see anything wrong with it. What is good for the geese the gander must also enjoy it.

Where was the GBA during Akuffo Addo’s tenure?
The ORAL team should start prosecuting some of these NPP members who are behind this stand by GBA including Afenyo Markins and the MP for Tafo .
The GBA has never spoken against any of the atrocities committed during the time of Akuffo Addo but now they have awoken from their slumber to be on John Mahama.
Four constituencies had no representation in parliament during Akuffo Addo’s term yet the GBA was silent. Gone were the days when Ghanaians sat down for the GBA to flex their muscles . Ghanaians will take them on if they want to make Mahama’s government ungovernable. Is the GBA not ashamed that they are being headed by a corrupt, incredible and questionable chief justice? The character of chief justice is a smear on the GBA

Are they saying they have no respect for the Council of State? Can they quote any law in the Constitution which forbids the President suspending the CJ?
