  Obviously, a friend of his in the NDC who knows he is a member of the NPP lobbied to get him the appointment. The foolishness of some of these big guys in the NDC is amazing. To them it is friendship first. These sick and greedy idiots in the NDC believe by helping an opponent he too would benefit when his opponent comes to party tomorrow. But it usually doesn't always work that way for them because the principle in the NPP is that NPP first, Ghana second and any other thing and anyone else can go to hell.

You people are sad, maybe because you don't know him as an NDC member, for that I will understand to a certain point. But you should not find ways of spreading falsehood and destroy his hard earned reputation. He is competent enough to handle the position and should be left alone. HE IS A NOBLE MAN

  This sort of political appointments game introduced into the public service, by politicians, from 1982 to 1992 through to now is very disturbing. It is like the sharing of booty or the spoils of war. It does not bode well for the proper administration, development and sustainable growth of the public sector and the entire country. There is no hope now for any politically neutral person to develop his or her career to the top in the public service. Anytime there is a change in government, those who get the top management positions are either hand picked from within, mostly over and above their seniors or more competent colleagues, or hand picked and brought from outside. Most of those from outside are clueless, they just come in to mess up and deepen the woes of the institution. The political patronage and jostling for positions kill the morale and loyalty of the most competent and experienced workers within the institutions. There is no motivation and reward for hard work in the public service anymore and the country suffers in the long run.

  Does Mahama discuss his appointments with a council of his trusted advisers or he has that monopoly to appoint who ever he chooses. This is wrong. He has been appointing some people affiliated to the NPP when his own party supports are not getting appointments. This is unfair to the party members. The NDC has competent members for any position and Mahama should give priority to his members before considering other party members. He cannot be giving positions to members of the NPP when his party members are denied positions. This must stop .

Prof , as I know, has never been aligned with the NPP in any way. I think the tag should have been " he is not known in the NDC" . He is a Ghanaian, and he is competent enough to handle the position. Those allegations of fraud, promiscuity and professional misconduct at Gimpa are all false. There's no iota of truth in what they are saying. I believe the appropriate authorities made background checks on him at Gimpa and Knust before giving him the position. I think Those against him should find a different approach rather than the use of falsehood to destroy his hard earned reputation.
