  You can apply for a Drinking License as a non-Muslim expat. You are, however, asked to state your monthly salary, and that determines how much alcohol you can purchase within a month, based on a percentage of your salary; and that is stated on your license.
  
  That, to me, is a good idea.

  Gadaafi, banned alcohol but he was taking cocaine and heroin .Most Arabs /muslims dtink alcohol anyway, so, that hypocrital ban is useless.
