Our so called ambassadors do not represent value for money. Most of them are just simply a monumental waste of time and money. We can hardly afford to have more than 10 embassies around the world. Embassies made sense at a time when travelling was difficult and electronic communication was rare. At the time, respectable personalities in the form of career diplomats were beneficial and made significant returns to their home countries. Today, all sorts of scum and toadies in the name of political appointees are hand-picked to go and disgrace their countries abroad. Even Trump has realized the futility of this nonsense and has devided to drastically cut down the number of American diplomatic missions abroad. Lets think again about our diplomatic missions.

There are countries across Africa which are functioning well without a Council of State based on their traditional chieftancy system.
