  Four years will come and we are back to square one. Listen to someone who Ghana is spending money on as a Defence Minister. Chassis numbers for what? Did these excavators not come to Ghana through our harbour? If the government is serious about stopping galamsey why can't they place a total ban on importation of excavators? On the Kumasi-Obuasi road at Anwiankwata, these Chinese manufacturing and selling equipment for galamsey, why can't government stop them. Their factories and shops are not hidden, they are dotted along the road. Every land in Ghana belongs to a traditional chief or clan, why can't government prosecute the custodians of the lands to serve as a deterrent?
  The promise to end galamsey is a sham, most of these politicians are behind them. During electioneering campaigns they give these galamseyers mouthwatering promises only to turn round after winning power to pretend they are against them.

  They are imported through Tema Harbour. Who are the importers and what did they earmark them for use on the Customs Sheet.
  
  Secondly, they have to be transported on huge articulator trucks from Tema along Highways with Police Checkpoints. How do they get pass all these Police Checkpoints without any of the 10-15 Police Checkpoints detaining them.
  
  Even if the Police are blind and could not see them to detain them but could see taxis to get their GHC2 bribes from them what about the Police Stations in the Districts where these Excavators end up. They all come through the main roads and the Police know everymajor commercial vehicle that goes through the town and they know those who transport and own these excavators. Why are the Police in the town not confiscati g the excavators when they enter the town or even issue an arrest warrant for the owners.
  
  In effect its a long chain of bribery and corruption from Tema Harbour, along the Highways, to the Police in the Districts where these illegal activities take place with the backing of the Politicians.
  
  The Defence Minister is talking BS . Its his colleagues the Politicians who are the enablers of the crime at the end chain of the illegality along with accomplices at the end!

  If you want to track illegal mining excavators, pls don't look far. Just last week, Collins Dauda sent excavators from Ejura to Ahafo Ano for galamsey. Question him.

I suspect they knew but refused to use it . That could have led to the real owners of these excavators who are mostly the top members of the useless ,hopeless, incompetent and downright corrupt evil government.

  For all Cargo imported into the country heading for Burkina and Mali Customs have electronic trackers attached to the cargo right up to the border point in the North when this tracker is removed before the cargo leaves the terrifory if Ghana. The tracker is monitored every way of the journey.
  
  This is to prevent the diversion of goods imported duty free heading to other countries.

  Look the politicians are deep into it. Mahamas first term Ibrahim Mahama wss one of the Chief Buyers of Galamsey gold exporting it to Iran/Dubai with Turkish Partners to help Iran buy gold to circumvent sanctions.
