  @truth u have a great point..hmm this is such a hard situation because as soon as the Govt of Ghana takes over this mining company, within two years maximum it will go bankrupt and collapse because of corruption and mismanag ...

  @truth u have a great point..hmm this is such a hard situation because as soon as the Govt of Ghana takes over this mining company, within two years maximum it will go bankrupt and collapse because of corruption and mismanagement..It has been proven over the years that Ghana govt is corrupt and incompetent so u have a point..Ghanaians should not jubilate over this yet..The govt taking over the mines is not the best option..there are only two better alternatives 1. Negotiate with the foreign investors of Damang mines for a better percentage for the nation and Let them develop The community and also give them some tax incentives to help build the damang and surrounding communities 2. Give this mining company to a Ghanaian businessman who is capable of running this mines to make profit for the state and also give him conditions to develop the community..But as for the incompetent govt taking over this mines, it’s a no no no because we all know it’s going to end in total failure

Govt will very soon lease the mine out to an investor. Let us hope they find a good investor soon. Fingers crossed.

  This is not the first time Ghana Govt is taking over mines in this country..but at the end of the day, it’s always ends in mismanagement and failure..so what shows that it’s going to be different this time around.?.As soon as the govt takes over this mines, maximum two years, it will end in failure because they will appoint some book long professor who knows nothing about mining..He only knows mining in books but in reality he knows nothing about Gold mining on the ground..it’s like Ghana is going in circus, the govt always takes over mining then ends up in bankruptcy and failure..Later this foreign mining companies comes back and revive it and give peanut for the nation because they realize Ghana govt is full of stupidity..I think there must be proper ways of dealing with this menance..it would have been good if not corruption by state officials..But corruption has made every good thing in Ghana turned into a curse..Corruption is a curse, poverty is a curse
