Anyway it’s still early days as he is barely a month and a few days into office.
But withdrawing the police from Bawku and its environs was a total failure on the part of the IGP and the repercussions will remain for long in the future when police presence returns there.
Not too late though but he can flood the jurisdiction with well trained Swat, Counter Terrorism, FPU personnel to counter the miscreants should the need arise. Such a move will make it easy for the Police to resume their functions once peace is totally restored
