The Mamprusis are the cause of all this. There is no ethnic group in Ghana today which rules over another ethnic group. The Mamprusis claim the Kusaasis migrated from Burkina Faso but the question is where did they migrate from? Did they come from the sea or germinated from the ground? The fact is every ethnic group in Ghana today migrated from somewhere and that doesn't make some ethnic groups who arrived later , less Ghanaian. Mamprusis migrated from where in Lake Chad. The Mamprusis themselves say this. Lawyer and Historian, Anonkye said that the Gbewaa guy who is the founding father of both the Mamprusis and the Dagombas was a Sudanese. He migrated all thge way from Northern Africa to Ghana. His descendants are now saying they are more Ghanaian than somewhere who also migrated from Burkina Faso. Until the colonialists/Europeans arrived Ghana and Burkina Faso was one country or territory. We were all part of the Wagadu empire. Based on this narrative the Kusaasis have more ownership over land in Bawku than the Mamprusis.

Mamprusis have been chiefs of Bawku since the 17th century. The kusasis only became a chief because of Kwame Nkrumah's interference. They did not have chiefs and princes in Bawku until Kwame Nkrumah made his party person a chief - the current Kusasi chief's father. How on earth can a politician just create and make someone a traditional chief. That is unheard of in our Ghanaian traditional systems.

The Kusaasis were/are Tindamas, traditional priests who own the land. The fact that they own the land tells you they were the first to arrive in the Bawku areas but they didnt know chieftancy. The Mamprusis moved into Bawku to trade but they also to be organized and control the behavior of thier behavior. So they would always go back to Nayire for enshrinement to so they could go back to Bawku to rule over thier people living there. During colonial time, Lord Laggard introduce the indirect rule whereby he allowed or gave chiefs the power to adjudicate minor matters within the locality. That now gave the chiefs the power to rule over territories and that empowered the Mamprusis, not only in Bawku but other communties in Upper East rule over the Tindamas. When Ghana gain indepedence, the Kusaasis realized they had been shortchanged by the colonial adminsitration. The matter was examined casrefully and Kwame corrected the system because he knew the colonial administration didnt understand our culture well. So the fact the Mamprusis were chiefs in Bawku for a long time doesnt mmake them original owners of the land in Bawku. Do you see a chief who doesn't own land, doesnt own any smaller god to worship? Use your common sense bro.

The tribalistic gonja mafia John Mahama has packed his relatives, close and distant family members into juicy positions.
They are human beings, Ghanaians, qualified and bla bla bla. Were the others....
Is Jakpa not related to Scammer John
Mahama? Are his many personal assessments not his relatives?
The only notable achievement of the gonja mafia is turning Ghana into cocaine coast and nako hub.
Do you think it's only Sam George who is tribal bigot? No.
Scammer John Mahama, Scammahama is the leader. Just before he was appointed by prof Mills as running mate, he stood in Parliament and a disgusting tribal statement.
Is he trying to kill the vice?
Is Gonja mafia Malam yohane Mahama, the tribalistic Scammer benefiting from the conflict +

I can see that this crisis a war of independence the Kusasi people are seeking from their imperial master, The Mamprsi's.
Mamprugu does not want to relinguish control from their occupation. So I see the problem is with the latter.
My suggested solution:
Bring the overlords to Accra and have a discussion with them about the nations concern for peace nd stability. Let them recognize that they are part of Ghana and that the laws of ghana legally bind them. The leaders need straight talk and open but firm stand.
Let them be acountable for the peace in the area a guarantee that has to be support in writing as a binding clause.
Let them also pledge to control their men and setup a trust fund to benefit both the Kusasi and the maprusis from tax revenue that comes from the economic activities of Bawku.

Funnily enough, the Mamprusi blood suckers are also claiming ownership of Bolgatanga, insisting that the Gurune people are settlers on Mamprugu lands who migrated from Burkina Faso. I have also heard them claim Nabdams are settlers on Mamprusi lands too. However, they believe aboriginal Talensis accommodated Talensis of Mamprusi background and that includes Zaurungu people. The question is if Talensis were there before Mamprusi settlers started arriving how come Bolgatanga is not Talensi land but Mamprusi land? In any case, before colonialism did we even have national borders to argue that Gurune people came from across the borders to settle in Ghana? So are we to argue that the Gurunes across the borders in Burkina Faso around the Bongo areas all the way to Po are all settlers on Mamprusi land but the colonial borders is what has made Mamprusis to lose those lands to Burkina Faso? If Frafra lands are Mamprusi lands how come there is no Mamprusi community in the Upper East region? These Mamprusis are jokers. They should bring their stupidity on Frafras, we are ready for them.

Historically both Kusas and Manprusis are not the original landowners of present-day Bawku land. The Nanumbas/Gruma's are the true and the original landowners. In that segment of land encompassing Burkina, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria and the southeastern part of Niger were all part of the Gruma empire until the Europeans curved it into smaller pieces, the capital was Fada-Gruma as it capital where the king resides. The current king of the Gruma's in Ghana and Togo resides in Dapango Togo. The Gruma empire and the Dagomba empire share a common boarder for centuries. There is tradition between the Gruma's and the Dagomba's for centuries. Every Dagomba/Gruma person knows that we are play mates, wherever a Dagomba or Gruma person meet each order they play that game, by holden each other for ransom, is symbolic, has still been practice today. The Kusas were settlers on that land, just like the Moses and Busanga's. Ater the demarcation by the Europeans that part became a trading post because that part became the intersection between the three countries, where goods can be sold at ease. Manprusis also came as traders. There will only be peace if the Gruma King is involve in this.
