HSB, you are rather an ancient animal. Stupid fool. Are Mr Kwabena Afriyie and his colleagues not justified for their action? Can someone from Western Region be appointed and successfully take up an equal appointment in Upper East Region? No, it can never be possible. Recently, somewhere in the North, a big Chief confidently closed down a whole Teacher Training College, for the simple reason that the newly appointed Principal of the College was not an indegene of the area. Infact, the Professor, we learnt hails from the Volta Region. Now, was anything done to the big Chief? No. Rather his decision or action held swayed in the day. It is a truism that no non Dagomba will be permitted to head any public institution or office in Tamale. It is a fact. Why then do we accept persons from the North to occupy public offices and institutions in the South? Are they now more human beings than the Southerners? Nonsense!

In the Western region a 'visitor' in nominated but natives are up in arms. But the question is, can someone from the Western region be allowed to head a similar institution in the Upper East region?
Truth be told, apart from the Greater Accra and Akan speaking region, which other regions would allow non-natives to occupy political appointments there? Yet people from Greater Accra and Akan speaking regions are prevented from taking political appointments in other regions - not even as Assemblyman. We indeed live in a banana republic.
